3D scanning
The first stage of our process is to 3D scan the artwork.
3D scanning is non-contact, and is safe for delicate or damaged objects.
If you’re in the tri-state area, we can come to your location and scan on-site.
Or we can ship you one of our 3D scanning kits, and walk you through the scanning process on Zoom.
The 3D scan captures the exact dimensions of your object, down to the millimeter, ensuring that the crate will fit your object perfectly.
Layout design
Our team brings many years of experience in designing crates to protect very valuable artwork, antiques and artifacts.
Once we have a 3D scan of your object, we meet with you to understand your object’s unique requirements, and design the crate layout in a live collaborative meeting over Zoom.
Crate inserts are designed for safe lifting and uncrating, and to avoid surface friction during shipping and handling.
Finished product
We create a range of products for art crating, shipping and storage.
We can fabricate custom CNC-milled open foam trays for long-term storage for collections. We can also create multi-part CNC inserts for cavity packing, with the object situated within a perfect negative and protected on all sides.
For objects requiring brace packing, we use the 3D scan to create custom-fit contoured sections to support the work inside its crate at multiple points, to ensure safe transit.
